How to see a doctor in Sweden without BankID
Many international visitors, tourists, students and people working or staying temporarily in Sweden do not have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) or BankID, or do not have access to subsidised healthcare in Sweden. This service is designed for these situations.
You can submit your request online. If your request is suitable for an online consultation, you will be contacted by email or phone depending on the case. A valid ID is required for the consultation, and a passport is preferred.
This service is not suitable for:
- Medical emergencies
- Severe illness
- Conditions requiring physical examination
- Long-term follow-up
- Complex diagnostic investigations
- Sick leave certificates
- Insurance matters

Requests are usually reviewed the same day during opening hours. Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00 and Saturday 09:00–12:00.
No. This service provides digital care for minor, non-emergency health concerns. We can help with conditions that are suitable for remote assessment, such as mild infections (including urinary tract and eye infections), skin rashes, allergies, general medical advice, and prescription renewals. Some symptoms and medical conditions require a physical examination or urgent medical attention and therefore cannot be managed through this service.
When medically appropriate, prescriptions can be issued in accordance with Swedish regulations.
How to collect your prescrition:
For patients who do not have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) or are not registered as residents in Sweden, the digital prescription may need to be sent to and collected at a specific physical pharmacy.
Please note that I do not prescribe narcotic drugs through this service.
Payment is made securely by credit or debit card. No Swedish bank account, BankID or Swish is required.
You may be able to claim medical expenses through your travel insurance, depending on the terms of your insurance policy. Please contact your insurance provider directly for information about coverage and reimbursement.
